Metamorphosis
Membership of the Lepidopterists’ Society of Africa is open to all that has an interest in African butterflies and moths.  Metamorphosis, which is the official journal of the Society, publishes original scientific papers as well as articles of a less technical nature.  This journal is edited by Dr. Martin Kruger, 199 Odendaal Street, Pretoria, 0184, South Africa, kruger@nfi.co.za.
There are four issues annually and paid up members will receive their copies by post.  Fees indicated below refer to surface postage, but if airmail is required, notify the Treasurer and -per issue- add R32.00 for Africa and US$6.00 for Overseas.  There is no geographical limit but membershipfees are linked to geographical position due to postage.  These are the four categories of membership:

Membership is annual per calender year and fees are due on January 1 of each year.

Application for membership to the Society can be made by downloading the application form as a pdf, print it and fax it to the treasurer.  For more information contact the treasurer Owen Garvie at garvie@telkomsa.net.  Payment can be done as follows:

Payment can be made by direct electronic deposits into the Society’s bank account and should clearly indicate the following details:

Member’s name – 2005 subs should also be quoted as a reference on the deposit slip.

This should then be followed by confirmation of payment to the Treasurer (Fax No. 011 791 6551) in order to ensure that records are correctly updated. Failure to provide such information may result in the money being placed in a suspense account and will not be recorded against your account.

Overseas members may send transfers directly to the bank, as shown above, but include the postal address as follows: Nedbank, P.O. Box 545, Florida,1710, Gauteng, South Africa.
Please also remember that all details (proof of payment) must be sent by fax to the Treasurer at Fax No.  +027 11 791 6551. 
                                                                                    
Cheque payments should be made out to Lepidopterists’ Society of Africa, and please ensure the cheque is marked NOT TRANSFERABLE. Thereafter, please attach a copy of the application form and post to the Treasurer at the following address: P. O. Box 2048, Northwold, 2155, Gauteng, South Africa.
