Membership fees
Membership of the Lepidopterists’ Society of Africa is open to all that has an interest in African butterflies and moths. There is no geographical limit but membership fees are linked to geographical position due to postage and currency exchange rates.
When registering, there are 5 subscription options namely:
- Sponsor members
- Full members
- Affiliate members
- Junior members and pensioners
- E-members.
The first four subscription plans (sponsor, full, affiliate and Junior members and pensioners) are for members who wish to receive the society's journal, Metamorphosis, the society's newsletter as well as have access to all all the communication mechanisms on the website such as the forum and the blog. Sponsor membership is there for members who wish to assist the society financially as well, whereas the cost of full membership only covers the expenses of printing the journal.
E-members have full access to the website, and will also receive the society's newsletter, but will NOT receive the journal, Metamorphosis.
Members that only register on the site but who are not paid up e-members will have access to the forum, but will not be able to view the blog on which trip reports and other interesting observations will be posted, and will not receive the society's newsletter.
