Hawk Moth ID 5 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
This moth was found on the deck of my patrol vessel when it returned from sea. It obviously flew or was blown from the coast.

Hi Pierre,

Herewith the ID's from Herman Staude.

Cosmopolitan Hawk moth Euchloron megaera ( Sphingidae) -They are known to migrate over vast distances-hence the specimen found on the ship.

Cheers,
Justin
