Thanks for the help Justin and Steve, I really appreciate it.

Now to bother you further, I want to know if either of you can inform me of the form for both the colotis evagore antigone and the colotis ione if possible? I think I have all the others under control.

My next issue is with the Spialia, I previously ID'ed one at Walter Sisulu as S. diomus ferax....which Steve said was correct.

Now the two above were ID'ed as seperate species namely S. diomus ferax and S. spio....I am battling to see the clincher in differentiating these two both in the field guide as well as in the images posted above.

Steve please can you, or any one else try explain to me, how the two species above were told apart??!

Thanks,

Justin

Further more, regarding the Leptotes,

is there no way to sperate these in the field what so ever?! For instance, larval form, food sources, behaviour (if butterflies can behave any differently to each other, as I often use this to ID birds )

If the answer is no....and the genitals are what I should be playing with What magnification would I require?! As Im sure I could use the Universities Ento Departments scopes....also, where would I get the info depicting what the differences are in the genitals between these Common Blues?! As I have no Idea what to look for.......
