Could anyone perhaps be able to assist with the identification of this caterpillar that was seen in St Helena Bay, Western Cape at the end of August? There were hordes of them wherever we where and it looked like they had no specific choice in food plant.

It's the tri-coloured tiger I think. They are everywhere toward the end of Winter. Rhodogastria amasis. I suppose you got this response already?
