The
Acraea horta eggs we found at Weza have now gone through to adults and I'm getting the first few shots.
The eggs are on the blog, but I thought I should start posting some stuff on the forum so everyone can see. Here are the second instar larvae:
And here are the fourth, and one final instar:
They pupated all over the walls of the plastic box I had them in, so I had to rig this one up:
The first specimens to emerge were weird males with reduced,
radiata-type markings:
These have gone into the collection; they were very weak flyers. Then I got some nice females, which I released:
