Hi All

Found this larva at Ilanda Wilds during the SABCA BCW:

He'd just gone into final instar. I had to go travelling so missed photographing him fully grown, but I did get the pupa:

A very curved pupa. I did a stack to keep it sharp but off the background.

This male emerged whilst I was at the shops with Jayne today (brownie points replenished!)

Flew off before I could get an underside shot

Cheers

Steve

Great pics Steve. The larva looks almost "other-worldly". What was it feeding on?

Hi Peter

He was feeding on Natal Milkplum, Englerophytum natalense.

Cheers
