Hi Visitor
Its autumn time...

Achievements for the year so far...
The LepSoc team recently manage to sign an agreement with KuneMoya to survey Blouberg Nature Reserve near Vivo. Part of this survey, will also be to train and educate the guides on butterflies.
A team of Gauteng Lepidopertists visited the area over the weekend of 9 to 11 March 2012. It was a fun, hot and dry weekend. We manage to count just over 70 species for the weekend.
Butterfly Census Week 5
A reminder to register for our 5th butterfly census week that will be held on 21 - 29 April 2012. For more information on how to register, please read more...
Yebo Goggo Week
It is the annual affair again at the WITS University from 16 to 20 May 2012. If you are able to help out for an hour or two the Saturday and Sunday at our stand, please give Peter Webb a call at 082 327 2090.
KZN Branch
The guys from KZN also decided to have a get to together and have some fun. On 18 March a few members gathered at Kranzkloof Nature reserve where they went out looking for some colourful bugs.
Happy Easter...
Easter is family time. For those who celebrate Easter, may you have a wonderful time with love one's and friends. If you are going a way for Easter, please drive safely and return home safe as well.
And on a not so serious note, but serious enough, if you are a "bunny hugger" just like me, remember to buy your Lindt Gold Bunny as an Easter treat. Remember, by doing so, you will also support a good cause (forget about the hips and the diet for one weekend). EWT in conjunction with Lindt Chocolatiers have a project running to save the Riverine Rabbit. So please support them.

Kind regards,
Yolande Bode
