 The Vryheid/Nongoma area has a number of data deficient QDS's. Steve has found a couple of good spots to investigate, one of them being Nhlazatshe mountain just off the Vryheid/Melmoth road (which has a piece of Afro-montane forest as well as grassland cover), as well as a spot on the Vryheid/Nongoma road with similar vegetation types. We are planning to base ourselves at a caravan park in Vryheid and then make day trips to the survey sites. |
